Wanna know what the best thing I ever baked was?

The best thing i ever baked

A little bun in the oven! And for the last few months, I have been very, very busy “baking up” another one! That’s right, we’re due to have a BABY BOY in October! 😀 We just had our big ultrasound yesterday morning, so you’re some of the first to know!

it's a boy

I’d also like to take this opportunity to apologize. I’m not sure if you’ve noticed, but I’ve been totally lagging on my comment replies, and pretty much MIA on social media. It’s been extra hard to get posts out regularly because I literally try to sleep every time my daughter naps. I am not one of those pregnancy-glow women. Actually, I am probably usually some shade of green or white, from either preparing to lose my cookies or recovering from this activity. I don’t do well in pregnancy. I am exhausted, like every other pregnant woman has always been, but I also deal with an excessive amount of nausea and vomiting, well past my first trimester. It’s pretty awful, and I can’t say I enjoy pregnancy a whole lot, except for the wonderful anticipation of bringing forth new life!

Now that I’m well into my second trimester, though, I am starting to feel markedly better! Hooray!! I have some fun plans for my blog, and am glad I’m finally feeling more energy and focus to start working toward them. You can look forward to a brighter, fresher new look and feel happening soon, and also what I hope will be a super informative and helpful series on How to Read With Your Child. This is a series I actually meant to do last summer, but… didn’t quite get around to. Yet. But it’s happening, guys. I have been mentally drafting portions already, so get excited!

Anyway thanks for bearing with me all this while! I was super excited to share this news with you, and am so thankful for the life God has blessed us with already!

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the
Father of the heavenly lights.” James 1:17

Congratulations, so happy for you! My second son just turned three months old and I am finding those early moments of parenthood markedly easier the second time around. I hope that’s your experience too. Best wishes for a smooth pregnancy from now on!

Thanks, Camille! I am hoping that the transition from 1 to 2 will be less jarring/difficult than the transition from 0 to 1. We love being parents, but man those first few months were a BIG adjustment! Thank you!!

Hehe yeahhh I’m anticipating that. I’m wondering how I’m going to keep up a blog when the next one arrives… I guess we’ll see how everything pans out =).

Thank you, Auntie Diana!! Thank you for loving our family so much!

Also, thank you so much for the beautiful dress!!! It was so lovely, and if you look on my Facebook page, she wore it for the photo that I used to announce this new baby :).

Congratulations to you and I’m so glad you’re starting to feel better! The whole cookie tossing bit of the first part of pregnancy is really a bummer… I was soooooo glad I was home for my second pregnancy and Munchkin spent more movie days in those first few months than I care to admit. 😛 And it was exciting to see your sweet photo too. 🙂

Thanks, Dakota! Yes, being home has definitely made the whole nausea thing better than before, when I was teaching… that was nooo fun. I am also embarrassed to admit that I caved into some Daniel Tiger these last few months, too! >_< Hoping she forgets about it soon, cuz I have strengthened my resolve for no TV again now that I'm feeling better haha :). Yay glad you liked the photo! =D
