But that’s how it is. I’m guessing the only acronym you got there was LOL (yes, it still stands for Laughing Out Loud), but the forums are littered with this kind of silly. I’m sure I will start using them, too. SIA (Sorry In Advance (made that one up myself!)). So here’s a quick key for the most commonly used acronyms specific to the parenting forums:
BF = Breastfeeding
BM = Breast milk
CIO = Cry It Out
DD/DH/DS/DW: Dear daughter/husband/son/wife
EBF = Exclusively Breastfeeding
EDD =Estimated Due Date
EP = Exclusively Pumping
FF = Formula Fed
LO = Little One
LOL = har har.
“R” or any other single letter = usually their child’s first initial
SAHM = Stay-At-Home Mom
STTN = Sleep/slept Through The Night
TIA = Thanks In Advance
WAHM = Working at home mom
WM = Working Mom
I’ll probably add more as I come across them, but for now… that’s all! TTYL.

This made me LOL. It takes longer to figure out what someone is talking about with the acronyms than it would if they just wrote it out. As a mom who exclusively pumped, however, I would add EP to your list- “exclusively pumping.” 🙂 Also, FF is formula fed. I hate that I know all of these and am suggesting additions. 😉
